Whether your dog is part of a family household or your individual companion, their training should not be entrusted to the latest trend, a weekend certification, or a one-size-fits-all program.

Since 1995, Rolling Meadows Academy of Dog Training has helped families build better lives with well-trained dogs. Our experience spans over 30 years of training, including Police K9 Training, Protection Dog Training, Dog Sport Training, Service Dog Training, Therapy Dog Training, and Elite Family Companion Training. Our highly trained dogs have been delivered to individuals and families throughout the United States and internationally. Now, we are bringing that same depth of experience back to local families and individuals through a limited-enrollment in-school obedience program at our Denton, North Carolina training facility.

THIS IS NOT ORDINARY OBEDIENCE TRAINING

There is a difference between teaching a dog a few commands and developing a dog that understands how to live successfully with their owner or family.

Rolling Meadows was built on real-world training. Our goal is not simply for your dog to perform during a training session. We want the skills learned here to make everyday life easier—at home, on walks, around visitors, and as you continue building a relationship with your dog.

Every dog is an individual. Age, temperament, previous learning, confidence, distractions, family lifestyle, and behavior all affect how a dog learns. That is why our programs are intentionally limited and why each dog is evaluated before acceptance.

When your dog is accepted into a Rolling Meadows program, they become part of the Rolling Meadows family. We take that responsibility seriously—from the time your dog enters training through the transition back home to your family.


TWO LEVELS OF IN-SCHOOL TRAINING

PUPPY BASICS

12 Weeks to 6 Months • 3–5 Weeks • $3,300

The habits a puppy learns during the first months of life can shape the dog you live with for years. Puppy Basics is designed to give young dogs a strong, structured beginning while they are still developing.

The program focuses on age-appropriate foundations such as:

  • Beginning obedience and communication

  • Leash manners and handler awareness

  • Crate Training, housebreaking routines, and household structure

  • Appropriate manners around people

  • Impulse control and calm behavior

  • Building confidence in everyday situations

  • A foundation the owner or family can continue after the puppy returns home

Because puppies mature at different rates, the exact length of the program is determined by the individual puppy's age, development, temperament, and progress.

Routines are intentionally created during Puppy Basics to help the puppy understand what is expected each day. Crate Training and housebreaking are part of that foundation, along with a consistent schedule for rest, feeding, supervision, and elimination.

Housebreaking is a developmental process, not a guarantee that a young puppy will return home completely housebroken. The routines established during training must be continued consistently by the owner or family after the puppy returns home. As the puppy matures, continued consistency, supervision, and reinforcement are essential to developing reliable long-term house manners.

Owner participation is also an important part of Puppy Basics. The puppy’s owner or family is taught how to continue the structure, communication, routines, and age-appropriate training established during the program so those foundations carry successfully into the home.

ELITE OBEDIENCE TRAINING

6 Months & Older • 5–7 Weeks • $4,800

Our Elite Obedience Training Program is for owners who want more than basic exposure to commands. It is designed to establish reliable communication, practical manners, and a stronger working relationship between dog and owner.

Owners are an essential part of the training process. While the dog is enrolled, owners are expected to participate in at least 3–4 private training sessions so they learn how to communicate with their dog, handle the commands correctly, and maintain the same expectations at home.

Elite Obedience Training works on more than 18 obedience commands, but commands are only part of the program. A major focus is practical behavior in everyday life, including issues such as jumping on people, excessive barking, pulling on the leash, poor manners, lack of impulse control, and other behaviors that make living with a dog more difficult.

Training is tailored to the individual dog and may include:

  • Core obedience commands and reliable response

  • Leash manners and controlled walking

  • Doorway, greeting, and household manners

  • Impulse control around everyday distractions

  • Crate and settling routines

  • Confidence and appropriate behavior in real-world situations

  • Owner instruction so the training transfers successfully back into the home

Program length is based on the dog's individual needs and progress. Dogs with significant aggression, severe anxiety, or specialized behavioral concerns require an evaluation to determine whether this program is appropriate.


Elite Obedience Training

WE TRAIN TO A STANDARD —

NOT A CALENDAR

Your program price is established when your dog is accepted. We do not charge you more simply because your dog needs additional time within the program’s stated training period. Every dog learns at a different pace, and we do not believe an owner’s financial concern should create pressure to send a dog home before its training is complete.

The individual dog determines whether completion takes three, four, or five weeks in Puppy Basics, or five, six, or seven weeks in Elite Obedience Training. Our focus is on reaching the appropriate training standard for that dog—not on sending the dog home because a particular number of weeks has passed.

TRAINING THAT CONTINUES AFTER GO-HOME

When an Elite Obedience dog completes the program, the relationship with Rolling Meadows does not end. Lifetime private training sessions are included so owners can return for guidance, refreshers, or help maintaining the training throughout the dog’s life.

We intentionally do not compete to be the least expensive training option. We focus on experience, individualized training, owner education, and creating practical results that owners can maintain.
