The Experience
For more than 30 years, we have thoughtfully developed the Rolling Meadows program around one simple goal: helping people experience the greatest possible joy and fulfillment with their dogs. During that time, we have successfully matched, trained, and delivered hundreds of dogs to families and individuals who are looking for a truly meaningful canine partnership.
From the very beginning, our purpose has been about more than simply providing a dog—it has been about creating the right relationship between people and their dogs. We understand that welcoming a dog into your life is an important and personal experience, and we are committed to making that journey exceptional. Through empathy, communication, experience, and careful attention to each client’s individual needs, we strive to provide the highest level of service and the best possible experience from the first conversation to the day you bring your dog home—and beyond.
“Our life’s work is selecting, training, and placing exceptional dogs with the people who need them.”
-
To start the matching process, please fill out our adoption inquiry form or email us at rollingmeadowsdogs@gmail.com.
-
Barbara will then have a detailed phone conversation with you to discuss your preferences, lifestyle, and home environment to help match the right dog.
-
We will exchange 2-3 personal references to ensure a good fit, and give you confidence in our ability to deliver a fully trained dog.
“The investment for a professionally trained service dog typically ranges from $20,000 to $40,000, depending on the dog’s training requirements and the individual needs of the client.”
Delivery
We have developed our unique delivery process over the past 30 years, delivering nearly 600 dogs. Our delivery process is a comprehensive experience that takes 3-4 days. It helps your dog settle into its new home and equips you with the skills to communicate effectively with your new companion.
Once contacting us, Barbara will provide a more detailed explanation of the delivery process.
Barbara will introduce the dog to your household family and any pets, establish a potty area, conduct obedience training sessions over 3-4 days, teach you how to walk the dog, guide you through an outing (more intensive with therapy and service dogs), and accompany you for an introductory, non-invasive vet visit.
Support
Once we deliver your dog, our communication does not end there! Dogs cannot immediately adjust to their new family, so we insist on a bonding period of 30 to 90 days. Barbara provides regular check-ins and guidance through texts and scheduled video calls to ensure a smooth transition for you and your dog. Our goal is to ensure that both our dogs and clients have the best possible experience!
Additionally, Barbara addresses unexpected training concerns even years after delivery.
